Sorry for no "Where's Phil" this week.

I'll have to supplement it with "Where's Phil" for the weekend.  I'm at Startup Weekend today and Sunday, but I'll be presenting on Robotics Studio Saturday (tomorrow) morning, bight and early at 9.  I've worked on the Bluetooth strength, so the hardware should work fine and I promise not to run over Josh since he won't be in Austin this time!  The batteries will run out before the bot could get to him.

Also, I just found out that our new Houston Gaming and Media user group will be meeting next week in Houston - I'm going to be in the office doing a couple of events, so I'm going to try to stop by.  If you can be around the Microsoft Office in Houston next Thursday evening, check out the information on this month's meeting - http://hgmug.org/default.aspx

I'll take two of them

Video from the Maker Faire for the Wall-E automata.  http://gizmodo.com/search/wall_e  Evidently it's going to be $190 so that will probably bump back to just one (though I really would love to have a spare for replacement parts since I know I'll want to mod one.

Another Micro Framework book out

I've had this up in a browser tab since Sunday - haven't managed to blog it yet.  Amazon has it at http://www.amazon.com/Expert-NET-Micro-Framework/dp/159059973X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1207137527&sr=8-1, and if you're on the fence about it you can get a sample chapter at Introducing the .NET Micro Framework Base Class Library

It looks like a great companion to to the MS Press book on the Micro Framework - http://www.amazon.com/Embedded-Programming-Microsoft-Micro-Framework/dp/0735623651/ref=pd_sim_b_title_1/002-0759219-3236018  Now I have to put together another order.

Worldwide Telescope Spring Beta Released

There have been a lot of people asking me when they were going to be able to get a copy, the answer is right now.  The Research guys just released it, you can find the download at http://www.worldwidetelescope.org/experienceIt/ExperienceIt.aspx

There are some neat guided tours included as well.  After I get finished with this event tour, it's going to be a temptation to see if there's a way for me to do a "Tour of the colonies in 2300ad."  Hopefully there will be someone doing a "The path of the Fleet" tour, and I'm SURE the Star Trek guys are going to go nuts with this.
